El Presente

El Presente is a video of a Spanish IV class singing the Present Tense to the “Hi Ho” melody in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  I created this song just this year while listening to a commercial with this song and grading Spanish II papers over the Present Tense.  It is amazing what one create at any time of the day.

Conjugations Back

This is a fantastic video for teaching the Present Tense Regular Verbs.  Sr. Mara is the artist for this masterpiece along with other great videos to follow.

Cry Me A Verb

Yet again, another masterpiece from Sr. Mara.  He is teaching the irregulars in the Present Tense in this video.

 Reflex Your Verby

Sr. Mara last video that I currently know of.  This one teaches the reflexive verbs in the Present Tense.  The students LOVE this video.

This song is created by the Ortega Family in my Spanish IV 2010-2011 Spanish class.

Ser y Estar – Bottoms Up

This song was created by the Romero Family in my Spanish IV class 2010-2011.

Ser y Estar

This song is being sung by my Spanish IV class and was created by Amy and Katie, Spanish Teacher colleagues.  This is a great way for the students to remember Ser and Estar, since as you know as teachers, the students struggle with this grammar concept.

Los Mandatos Informales

Tú commands are very easy for the students to grasp after they have learned the present tense.  This song, Baila tu Cuerpo, uses tú commands.  When I show this video, I like to have my students stand up and do whatever they are being commanded to do in the video.  The students always have fun while doing this and usually almost always make the “Awww” sound when they miss a command.  They’re silly.

El Pretérito con “Back in Black” por ACDC

Whenever I introduce the Preterite Tense, I teach the endings to ACDC “Black in Back.”  By teaching the tenses with songs, the students remember them better and are more motivated to learn.

UJI Verbs

My Spanish IV students repeat the UJI Verbs.  They love doing this and practicing this.  UJI Verbs the Irregular Verbs in the Preterite Tense and this grammar concept was created by Amy, a Spanish Teacher colleague.

El Imperfecto – Conjugating

This video was inspired by Señorita Webb’s Spanish 2 ~ Spring Semester 2010 Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School – Raleigh, NC ~ Learning Imperfect Lady Gaga Style.  I had my students redo it using the Vosotros with the Imperfect Tense.  This is my Spanish IV class.

El Imperfecto

This is a video that teaches the Imperfect Tense.  The students in this video are from a different school that I found on YouTube.  This maker is known as J Roc, and The Prodigy, works with young Austin “Puffy Cube” Goldfine, and Sean “PopeStar” Pope.

Por y Para

Maria y Roberto teach the rules of Por y Para.

Por y Para Rap

A Spanish III class raps when to use Por and Para.

 El Futuro

My Spanish IV students are at it again.  This one was created by my students.  My students, Megan “Graciela” Abner and Jacob “Antonio” Rinehart, picked the song to put the tense to it and made it work.  The whole class immediately followed and started singing along with Graciela and Antonio.

Como Formar del Subjuntivo

Crank Dat Subjuntive

Crank Dat Subjunctive is a rap song that goes with the Subjunctive.  This is a video from another High School.  As much as I really do not like this song, the students did a fantastic job.

Subjuntivo – Creo Que Quiera Sentir

Two students get together and teach Subjunctive.
